    - NOTE: This is a high volume cut and a very live one I might add, definitely not suitable for bright sounding equipment or worn stylus.

This is the best quality cut I've yet played but I also get tinnitus every time I listen to this record.

The UK editions below have slightly deeper bass but they also sound thinner. This record sounds more livelier and more full-bodied than the UK editions.

The Canadian edition is the only one that does't sound so harsh and bright but it's also stuffiest one.

    - INNERSLEEVE: plain white paper innersleeve, not die-cut from either side to show the center labels and no corners clipped (probably not the original innersleeve)

    - RELEASED: Probably a Canadian reissue from the mid to late 80s.

    - NOTE: The pressing quality is excellent and the record is perfectly flat but, like usually for Canadian records, this one sounds somewhat bassy and stuffy though it

suits well for this LP since most of the cuts I've played are quite harsh and bright.

The two UK editions right below sound a lot more harsh and brighter than this one.

The US edition above sounds livelier and the best even though it gives me tinnitus.

The cut is identical to the release right above.

                          Originally released in 1977.

    - NOTE: This release has a lot more pressing errors and surface noise than the Aston Clinton pressing above but otherwise these two editions are very close to each

other and they should since based on the runouts they were pressed from the same cut. This one sounds slightly thinner and brighter than the CBS pressing.

The CBS pressing is definitely the better one of these two.

    - RELEASED: Probably a reissue from the early/mid 80s.

    - NOTE 1: This is one of the very few records I've seen with etched STRAWBERRY on the runouts.

    - NOTE 2: This is of the first rough mix version but with both Cold Hearted Man and edited version of Rock 'N' Roll Damnation which is not mentioned to be edited

version anywhere on this release. You can easily ID this version from the harsh sound quality (except for Rock 'N' Roll Damnation which is simply too smooth

and different from all the other harsh sounding songs), the missing blues coda in Down Payment Blues and non-faded Riff Raff.

The story goes they were in a hurry to get the vinyl released in time for the bands UK tour so they didn't have time to do mixing properly. This rough mix is

known to have been used only on European vinyl editions, most notably on UK and German pressed vinyl.

    - NOTE 3: Some people say there exists German pressed vinyl with second rough mix version. One major difference is that Riff Raff is faded out in the second rough mix

version, in this first rough mix version Riff Raff is not faded out.

    - OTHER: Supposedly originally released sealed without any stickers on shrinkwrap.

    - NOTE: The pressing quality is very good though both sides of my copy are pressed slightly off-center and the edge is slightly warped.

However, I don't like the sound quality at all, too much higher end frequencies and distortion for me (I've been told this is due to George Marino's remaster).

    - RELEASED: Based on the runouts this is of the second cut and therefore most likely a reissue though this may also be a repress.

                          Originally released in 1980.

    - NOTE 1: Tracklist is not in correct order on the back cover.

    - NOTE 2: This is an excellent quality cut and one of the best quality records I have ever played but few people say the UK edition sounds even better than this one.

    - NOTE 3: The only major difference to the release right above is these two releases are pressed from a different cut.

    - RELEASED: This is most likely a reissue from the mid 80s, the A-side is of the second Canadian cut.

    - NOTE 1: Tracklist is not in correct order on the back cover.

    - NOTE 2: This is a very good quality record but of no match to the two Ludwig cut US editions right above.

This one clearly has deeper bass and rougher sound than the two RL cuts above which suits well to the bands' sound.

    - NOTE 1: Tracklist is not in correct order on the back cover.

    - RELEASED: Reissue made and released in 2009 based on the runouts though this may have been repressed in 2013 since many shops suddenly had this for sale.

                           Originally released in 1980.

    - OTHER: Originally released sealed without any stickers on shrinkwrap.

    - NOTE 1: Tracklist is not in correct order on the back cover.

    - NOTE 2: The overall sound quality is not good, too much higher end frequencies and distortion for me (I've been told this is due to George Marino's remaster).

In addition my copy had a pressing error which made it unplayable in the song Back In Black (this is one of the VERY few bad pressing errors from OM).

    - RELEASED: Most likely released in the late 80s or in the early 90s (AFAIK barcodes were taken in use in 1985 in the UK but not until 1987 in Germany).

    - NOTE: This is a very good quality record but of no match to the RL cut US edition above. This one sounds harsh and distorted compared to the RL cut.

    - RELEASED: Reissue or repress released in 1983 based on the writing all around the center label.

    - NOTE 1: This vinyl has exactly the same song on both sides, only the center labels are of slightly different colour (the other one is deep red and the other one orange).

    - NOTE 2: Apparently this has been available only in AC/DC Box Set but some copies are circulating without the rest of the box.

    - NOTE 3: This record sounds quite harsh though very enjoyable.

The Porky cut UK pressing of Powerage above, which also includes Cold Hearted Man, sounds a lot more bassier and a lot less harsh than this record,

might even say silky smooth compared to this one.

                          Originally released in 1985.

    - NOTE: The pressing quality is very good with only some waviness on the records surface, both sides are pressed perfectly to the center.

The cut is a high volume and very lively cut but there is also the signature Record Service distortion, I get tinnitus listening to this record.

The Canadian edition sounds smoother and smaller than this one.

    - RELEASED: Most likely a repress of the first German made edition based on the runotus.

    - NOTE: The US edition right above has less distortion, better bass and sounds livelier to my ears but these two editions are very close to each other.

    - RELEASED: Released internationally on RSD 11th of April 2014 (source: Finnish EMP webshop + several other webshops).

    - OTHER: Originally released sealed with small green recycling sticker on shrinkwrap.

    - NOTE 1: This is an excellent quality though bright sounding record but the pressing quality might be just a little better since all the copies I've encountered

have slightly warped edge and are pressed slightly off-center.

This was definitely cut from the remaster, I prefer the unremastered 90s CD version over this one.

    - NOTE 2: Limited edition and the vinyl weight are not explicitly mentioned anywhere on this release, they are taken from Finnish EMP webshop.

    - COVER: simple cardboard cover,

                     ℗© 2000 Leidseplein Presse B.V.

    - INNERSLEEVE: heavy printed cardboard innersleeve

    - OTHER: The cardboard innersleeve and the cover are all somewhat blurry (this can be clearly seen from the back cover).

    - NOTE 1: This is a poor quality unofficial pirate pressing made sometime between 2002-2010 (IMO),

the two Iron Maiden Virtual XI pirates (black 2LP and red 2LP) are of the same series with very similar runouts

(the only official older pressing of this record was cut by HL, pressed by OM and it carries standard OM runouts).

    - NOTE 2: The vinyl material is either intentionally slightly marbled or this has been made of recycled unpure vinyl, which causes the slight marbling effect.

    - NOTE 3: The sound quality OK for an unofficial release though it has nothing to brag about, I'll much rather play a CD than this LP.
